Company history
We opened for business in the summer of 2006. We have been at Funfest in Clarkston, Hot August Nights, Motocross, Oktoberfest, gun shows, home and garden shows, Asotin County Fair, Art under the Elms, Nez Perce County Fair, Latah County Fair, and most events at the Lewiston round-up grounds including the She's Wild rodeo. We are at Rosauers in Lewiston at times, usually around a holiday. Check the calendar to find out where we are at next.
I found that I make better kettle corn with my smaller kettle. The popcorn is more evenly coated with more flavor. I have to make a lot more batches, however the kettle corn is fresher that way. I have bought a bigger kettle to keep up with demand. However, the quality is as good or even better. I am also able to make different flavors faster. I have had so many people tell me my popcorn is a lot better than the huge kettle, paddle stirred, kind.
I checked out using a big kettle. I found out that there is a big danger of having burnt popcorn in a batch that could easily get into your bag. That is unacceptable. The popcorn has to be the very best every time.
At Hot August Nights last year there was a big kettle vender a block away from us out of Nampa. I bought a bag of their version and gave out samples of both versions. Everyone, without fail, said mine was a lot better. I even had a few people who had just bought the other version throw it away and buy mine. One lady said mine couldn't be as good as the big kettle. I told her to try the samples and if she thought the other version was better, I would buy her a bag the other kind. She bought mine.
